Ninda Daianti has her MFA in Creative Writing from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA and her BA in Creative Writing and Linguistics from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, MN. Her first novel, My Other Life, was published by the Rotary Club when she was eighteen. She has published her short stories at The Jakarta Post titled “Fire and Son” and “The Soulful Piano.”

After moving back to Jakarta, Daianti taught Introduction to Fiction, How to Write a Statement of Purpose, Advanced Fiction Workshop, and Short Stories at @america, the first American cultural center in the world. Daianti also did freelance works for Lontar Foundation, including copy editing and arranging literary discussions.

In 2009, Daianti created Midnight Crazies Press, debuting a novella by a talented Malaysian writer titled Six Days a Week of Porn.  In 2015, Midnight Crazies Press published its first collection of short stories, Different Realities. The second short story collection, Closer to The Truth, was published a year after. Both collections are produced by inspiring Indonesian writers.

Chosen as one of the Ubud Emerging Writers in October 2014, her short story “Never More” is published in Saraswati Wisdom & Knowledge: A Bilingual Anthology of Indonesian Writing. Recently, she has helped establish the English Department and taught at Krida Wacana Christian University. Daianti was also involved in the Frankfurt Book Fair 2015 (Indonesia as Guest of Honour Country) as Program Officer of the Culinary, Children, and Student Programs Committee.

Currently, Daianti is copywriting several projects with the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism. She is also working on her script and finishing up her own (overdue) collection of short stories based on her thesis, I Spell with My Mouth.

Midnight Crazies Press is a registered trademark, a nonprofit publication whose mission is the publications and awareness of International Literature, specifically Southeast Asian cultures. The press was initiated in Pittsburgh, PA in 2009, inspired by Maxine Hong Kingston, Haruki Murakami, and Hanif Kureishi.

Midnight Crazies Press is looking for new, enthusiastic writers.
